Container Insulation in Tropical Climates
Plan heat, condensation and ventilation before choosing interior finishes.

Short answer
A steel container in Sri Lanka needs a joined-up heat and moisture strategy. Shade, roof treatment, insulation, vapour control, ventilation and air-conditioning loads should be considered together.
Reduce solar gain first
External shading, a ventilated roof layer and reflective finishes can reduce the heat reaching the steel shell.
Control condensation
Warm humid air can condense on cooler steel. Material selection and installation details should avoid hidden moisture traps.
Design ventilation for the use
A shop, kitchen, bedroom and gym have different moisture and air-change needs. Ventilation should be sized for the actual occupancy and equipment.
